A Whole New Kind Of Stupid

This weekend was a blast!

On Saturday, The Hubbs' parents and grandparents brought our niece up for a visit while J and Adam searched Dayton for their new apartment. We hung out for hours and actually got some honest-to-goodness visitin' in. Totally nice to have a small group. :)

On Sunday, my folks popped over for pot roast and brownies (and the Bears game, but we all gave up on that by about halftime). All in all, quite a good two-day period.

However...

My sweet little angel did not go to bed until 2:00 this morning. That's right. There's a 2:00 in the AM even when you haven't been drinking. Who'da thunk it?

My poor, defenseless alarm clock didn't stand a chance at 5:00 this morning. Somehow I managed to refrain from chucking it against the wall, thus breaking into a million (hopefully silent) little pieces.

I'm happy to report I made it out of the house, parked the car at the train station, paid for my parking spot and executed a running, flying leap into the train as the doors were closing. Not my most graceful morning, but I made it.

I'm not just tired...I think I've discovered a whole new kind of stupid brought on by lack of sleep. Hats off to the parents whose children put them through this mind-numbing hell every day. Y'all deserve a medal or something...or at least a week away at a soundproofed room to catch up on your sleep.

  1. Hehe, "soundproofed".

By the way, I have to say it's kind of annoying that every time I leave a comment I have to type in some stupid non-sensical word. I mean, I've left like 5 comments in a row. You would think they would get it by now that I'm a real person and not some stupid bot or something. Gruph...

  2. Hey, I know I'm behind and all but I just clicked on the link to the left to go to Steven's blog spot and it says it doesn't exist anymore. Is there another web address or did he stop? I sure hope he didn't. If he did, kick him in the pants and tell him to start back up again because I really loved reading it. If he didn't, just tell me the address and don't tell I said to kick him :)

  3. Jello, I don't know if you'll get a notification when I type this but I guess we'll see. I still had Steven's old URL on my page...oops! I've updated it so you should be able to get there. The link is http://www.frailingguitar.com.

And you'll be happy to know I got rid of the stupid nonsensical word thingamabobber. You shouldn't have to do that at all anymore. :)
